About Verxt

Moving money across borders should be the easy part

Across Africa and its diaspora, people and businesses are earning, building, and supporting the ones they love across borders. A freelancer invoicing a client overseas. A remote employee waiting on a salary from a company abroad. A business paid by customers in another country. Someone working far from home, sending money back to family. The ambition is global, but the moment money has to move, the system works against them. Payments arrive late. Amounts shrink along the way. Fees hide in exchange rates and intermediary banks nobody can name. The money crosses borders, but the infrastructure moving it was never built with them in mind.

Verxt exists to fix that.

What we do

Verxt is a payments platform for people and businesses connected to Africa who move money across borders. If you get paid from abroad, whether you are a freelancer, a remote employee, or a business, Verxt helps you receive that money and get paid out into a local bank account. If you are African and living abroad, Verxt helps you send money home to family and loved ones quickly, because when someone back home is counting on you, speed is not a nice-to-have, it is the whole point. Everything happens in regular currency, and the complicated parts of moving money across borders stay out of your way.

We are starting with the corridor from the US into Nigeria, and we are building outward from there.

The problem we are solving

Getting paid internationally in Africa is not just inconvenient, it is expensive in ways that are hard to see. A payment sent as a round number rarely arrives as one. Between the sender and the receiver sit currency spreads, cross-border fees, and delays measured in days rather than minutes. For a freelancer, that is income quietly lost. For a remote employee, it is a salary that never fully lands. For a business, it is cash flow risk and margin eaten away every single month.

None of this reflects the quality of the work. It reflects an infrastructure gap. That gap is what we are here to close.

How we are different

We are not a bank. Verxt is a technology platform. The regulated parts of moving and holding money are handled by licensed partner institutions authorised to operate in the markets we serve. That means your funds sit with regulated partners, and we focus on building software that gets more of your money to you, faster.

We are transparent by design. You should know the rate and the cost before any money moves, not discover them afterward on a statement. Removing hidden, stacked fees is a core reason Verxt exists.

We build for Africa first. Too many financial tools treat African users as an afterthought, a market to be adapted to later. We start here, with the corridors, currencies, and realities our users actually live with.

Where we are going

Getting paid is where we start, not where we stop. The people who use Verxt to receive money from abroad are the same people who travel, for work, for clients, for vacations, and for life. That is why the road ahead includes tools built for that reality: multi-currency savings, virtual and physical cards, connectivity like travel eSIMs, flight and hotel or lodge booking, and more of what you need whenever you travel, whether it is a work trip, a vacation, or any journey that takes you across a border.

These features are part of our future releases, not the product today. We are building the strong, reliable payments core first, then expanding outward from it. When each new piece is ready, our users will be the first to know.

Join us on the journey

Verxt is being built now, for people and businesses who have waited long enough for payments that just work. Join the waitlist and be among the first to use it when your corridor goes live.
